Triad, NC – In addition to their regular fall classes starting last week, 60 North Carolina A&T State University students spent a morning learning how to save a life. In partnership with the AHA, NC A&T purchased 12 CPR in Schools Kits to train students to become ambassadors and facilitators to teach Hands-Only CPR on their campus and in the community. The goal is to make sure there is a “lead” in every building on campus who is trained in CPR. The 60 trained ambassadors will then move into the Triad community, training community centers, churches, and local businesses to be life savers. Learn more and get involved here.
Our mission is to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives. For nearly 100 years, we’ve been fighting heart disease and stroke, striving to save and improve lives. Heart disease is the No. 1 killer worldwide, and stroke ranks second globally. Even when those conditions don’t result in death, they cause disability and diminish quality of life. We want to see a world free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
