Colin Shaver, a 13 year old from Charlotte, took advantage of his neighborhood’s proximity to the PGA Championship Golf Tournament to raise funds for AHA. Colin set out to raise $1,000 in memory of his grandfather who passed away in 2013.
Colin and his siblings bypassed their goal of $1,000 and were able to raise $2,300 that they presented to the Charlotte Office staff in August.

Our mission is to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives. For nearly 100 years, we’ve been fighting heart disease and stroke, striving to save and improve lives. Heart disease is the No. 1 killer worldwide, and stroke ranks second globally. Even when those conditions don’t result in death, they cause disability and diminish quality of life. We want to see a world free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
