American Heart Association Announces 2018 Greater Maryland Heart Walk Chair

The American Heart Association is happy to announce that Brian M. White, Executive Vice President of LifeBridge Health, has been named chair of the 2018 Greater Maryland Region Heart Walk. The event will take place on October 13, 2018 at Camden Yards.

White is an Executive Vice President at LifeBridge Health, the fourth largest health system in Maryland, where he oversees the operations of Sinai and Northwest hospitals. He also provides executive leadership over the system’s physician enterprise, physician strategy and network development, marketing and communications, facilities and more. At LifeBridge Health, White has worked to grow clinical programs and improve quality of care while forging new partnerships and programs that enhance communities and quality of life in Maryland.

“I am honored to chair the Greater Baltimore Region Heart Walk,” says White. “We can all live longer, healthier lives through exercise and diet, and make an impact in the lives of others through education and awareness. By supporting the American Heart Association, you are not only impacting your own health, but the health of your loved ones, community members and employees. Each one of us can play an important role, and I encourage everyone to join us on October 13th to support this life-saving cause.”

The Greater Maryland Heart Walk is the American Heart Association’s mission in action. This annual celebration of life promotes physical activity and heart-healthy living for the whole family. The 2018 Greater Washington Heart Walk has a goal to raise $1,300,000 for the American Heart Association’s life-saving mission to build healthier lives free from cardiovascular diseases and stroke. The Walk is a non-competitive, three-mile walk, or one-mile walk at Camden Yards Sports Complex and is open to both corporate and community teams as well as individuals. Event festivities include Zumba, a Kids Zone, a Dog Agility Course, activity stations, and fun for the entire family.

In 2017, more than 5,000 walkers and sponsors in the Greater Baltimore Region raised just over one million in support of the American Heart Association.
