In November, the Southern Coast Heart Ball completed their fourth annual Heart Project at the Boys and Girls Club in Jasper County. The AHA collaborated with the Health Promotions students from USC Beaufort and their signature sponsor Audi Hilton Head. They taught the kids about the importance of daily exercise and how to make heart-healthy food choices by implementing an interactive nutrition game. The kids are also painting hearts that will displayed at the Southern Coast Heart Ball.

Our mission is to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives. For nearly 100 years, we’ve been fighting heart disease and stroke, striving to save and improve lives. Heart disease is the No. 1 killer worldwide, and stroke ranks second globally. Even when those conditions don’t result in death, they cause disability and diminish quality of life. We want to see a world free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
