We are happy to announce that two of the eleven national Go Red For Women 2016 Class of Real Women are from the MAA. Chicarra Jones (37) from Columbia, SC has from high bloodpressure and cholesterol as well as a family history of heart disease and Evelyn McMahon (70) from Raleigh, NC is one of three stroke survivors chosen from across the country for the group.

Heart disease is the No. 1 killer worldwide, and stroke ranks second globally. Even when those conditions don’t result in death, they cause disability and diminish quality of life.
