This fall, the Midlands team hosted a series of Hands-Only CPR trainings that led to over 2,000 individuals learning this life-saving skill. Trainings took place at Soda City, the South Carolina State Fair, the City of Columbia Fire Department and at several local companies across the region. In addition, a locally produced CPR video was played during half-time at a USC football game reaching thousands of fans.
A heart-felt thank you to all communities and volunteers who helped make these trainings possible.
Our mission is to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives. For nearly 100 years, we’ve been fighting heart disease and stroke, striving to save and improve lives. Heart disease is the No. 1 killer worldwide, and stroke ranks second globally. Even when those conditions don’t result in death, they cause disability and diminish quality of life. We want to see a world free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
